The Synology BeeStation Plus offers 8 TB storage and higher performance for creative professionals and small teams who want to manage their files locally without cloud solutions.
Synology expands its BeeStation series with the BeeStation Plus. This plug-and-play solution features 8 TB storage capacity and offers up to 4.8 times faster performance than the original BeeStation, according to the manufacturer. The solution is intended for users who want to centrally manage their digital files without using external cloud services.
The BeeStation Plus automatically backs up smartphones, computers, and external storage devices, among others. Users can also synchronize cloud data with the local system. Thanks to built-in AI, photos can be searched locally based on faces or objects without sending data to an external server.
Better Performance and Faster Disks
Unlike the ARM chip in the original BeeStation, the Synology BeeStation Plus features an Intel Celeron J4125. The memory also gets an upgrade from 1 GB DDR4 to 4 GB DDR4. The disks are also upgraded from 5400 RPM to 7200 RPM to process data faster.
In terms of connectivity, you’ll find 1x RJ45 (1 GbE), 1x USB-A, and 1x USB-C (both USB 3.2 Gen 1) on the back.
