Large Battery and Entertainment-Focused Screen
POCO has unveiled the POCO M7, a smartphone with a 6.9-inch FHD+ screen and a 7,000 mAh battery. The M7 is designed to support extended use. POCO targets users who frequently use their device for videos, gaming, and phone calls. According to the manufacturer, the battery supports up to 28 hours of video playback or 46 hours of calling. Thanks to silicon-carbon battery technology, the device would also continue to function for a long time at low temperatures.
The smartphone supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging, which can be used to charge other devices. With the integrated BatteryExtender Chip and features such as Battery Health 4.0 and Boost Charging, POCO aims to improve the battery’s lifespan and reliability.
The 6.9-inch screen is the largest in the M-series to date. The device offers a variable refresh rate of up to 144Hz via AdaptiveSync. Furthermore, the screen is certified for low blue light emission and flicker-free display, and POCO aims for a better viewing experience while maintaining eye comfort.
Hardware, Software and Availability
The POCO M7 runs on a Snapdragon 685 chipset and features Xiaomi’s HyperOS. Additionally, the device supports AI functions such as Google Gemini and Circle to Search. Users can expand the RAM memory up to 16 GB, and storage up to 2 TB. The device is IP64-certified for dust and splash water resistance.
In terms of cameras, the POCO M7 features a 50 MP dual camera on the back and an 8 MP front camera. Additional features include night mode, Selfie Beauty mode, and Dynamic Shots.
The POCO M7 comes in three colors: Silver, Blue, and Black. Two memory variants are available: 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The starting price is €169.90.
