Adobe previews a new experimental tool Project Turntable that allows artists to easily put 2D vector graphics in a different perspective.

Adobe announced at its Adobe Max event new graphics tools that are currently still in the experimental phase. One such tool is Project Turntable, which allows artists to easily rotate their 2D vector drawing randomly in 3D, resulting in a new 2D vector image from a different view. This saves artists a lot of time. Adobe showed just a preview of the project, among some other new tools.

“This technology allows artists to randomly rotate a 2D vector image into 3D, resulting in a 2D vector image that represents the object from the new view,” Adobe said. This operation normally takes a lot more time, but with this tool, it’s done in no time.

It is important to note that Adobe is only previewing this experimental technology. This does not yet guarantee that the tool will actually be launched. A lot of former features like Photoshop’s Remove tool also initially began as an experimental tool and have blossomed into an effective tool.
