Adobe Photoshop Elements gets AI features in new update

The 2025 versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements include new AI-driven tools, including object removal, depth effects and improved color correction.

Adobe is introducing new AI functionality in Photoshop Elements 2025, including a “Remove” tool similar to Google Photos’ Magic Eraser and Apple’s Clean-Up tool. This feature allows users to remove unwanted objects or people from photos and automatically fill in the background.

In addition, the software now offers a depth of field effect feature, which allows users to adjust the depth of field in photos. By selecting a focus point, the degree of blur can be easily adjusted to simulate a bokeh effect.

Furthermore, the update includes a new color correction tool that allows users to change colors in specific areas of an image. Another new addition is the photo combination tool that allows you to merge subjects from different photos. Finally, Adobe introduces an AI motion feature, which adds motion blur to a photo to simulate dynamics.

Premiere Elements introduces improved timeline and color correction

Premiere Elements 2025 also gets several AI-driven features from Adobe, such as automated white balance and LUT (look-up tables) support for easy color corrections. This makes it easier for users to adjust video footage and apply visual styles via preset color curves and filters.

In addition, the timeline in the video editing software is simplified. Video and audio tracks are grouped for better navigation, and a Quick Tools menu has been added for quick access to frequently used editing options. Users can also lock tracks to prevent unintended changes. Premiere Elements also adds dynamic titles with more text formatting options, and there is access to Adobe Stock templates at no additional cost.
