The Motorola signature 27 arrives in the Benelux in early December for 1,399 euros. The device gets the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, a 7,000 mAh battery and a 200 MP telephoto camera.
Motorola presents the signature 27 as the successor to the Motorola signature, which launched in January for 999 euros. The company calls the new device its most advanced flagship to date. In terms of performance, battery life and camera, it is meant to outdo any flagship model Motorola has released so far. After a first look at the Qualcomm event in Hawaii, the device is now officially launching.
Heavy artillery
For the new signature 27, Motorola pulls out all the stops. The smartphone ships with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, the most expensive variant of the chip generation that Qualcomm unveiled in September. The 7,000 mAh battery is 35 percent larger than that of its predecessor and charges at 90 W, or wirelessly at 50 W. The new device is 7.99 mm thick and weighs 227 grams, one millimetre and 41 grams more than its predecessor.
The 6.8-inch OLED display has two light-emitting layers. Motorola quotes a peak brightness of 12,000 nits, double that of the previous model and up to four times as high as premium devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the Pixel 11 Pro XL claim to reach. There are no independent measurements. The display refreshes at up to 120 Hz, which is less than the previous signature, which could refresh at 165 Hz.

The main camera uses the 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA L910. It is joined by a 200-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a separate EVS sensor that Motorola uses for fast movement.
Expensive signature
The signature 27 is the first Motorola device to support GrapheneOS, the security-focused operating system that until now only ran on Google Pixel devices. It will not yet be available out of the box. The device also meets the requirements for Gemini Intelligence, which lets Google’s AI agents perform tasks in apps. Motorola promises seven Android upgrades and seven years of security updates.
The signature 27 hits shops in early December for 1,399 euros incl. VAT, and Motorola promises a year of free screen repairs. The device comes in olive green and black. That places it, price-wise, between the Galaxy S26 Ultra (1,249 euros with 256 GB) and the iPhone 18 Pro Max (1,629 euros).
