Google has rolled out a new update for Google Drive’s Windows and Mac client with differential syncing. That means fast uploads, especially for large files.
The Windows and Mac clients of Google Drive now support a much-needed feature: differential synchronization. Thanks to that synchronization, synchronizing especially large files is a lot faster, reads Google Workspace Updates.
‘In-demand function’
With differential syncing, the app syncs only the changed parts of a file, rather than the entire file. When users work with large files, the sync time is sharply reduced, according to Google. Last month, Google added a feature to Drive that lets you watch videos immediately the moment you upload them.
