Circle to Search and Gemini are updated with new AI features.
Google is adding new AI features to Circle to Search in Android and Gemini Live Tools. Google’s AI chatbot for Search is being integrated into searches via Pixel and Samsung smartphones, just as it is in the web version of Google.
AI Mode
“Users can now launch AI Mode via Circle to Search,” Google writes in a blog post. Users can now launch AI Mode via Circle to Search. Anyone who wants to search for something visual on the screen only needs to circle or tap after holding down the home button. If the AI can provide a relevant summary, an “AI Overview” appears in the search results. At the bottom, there’s then the option to ask further questions via AI Mode.
The feature is not yet available worldwide, but is now rolling out outside the US, including in India. Google is also working on integration with Lens on Android and iOS.
Additionally, the Samsung Flip 7 is getting a Gemini Live Update. Gemini can retrieve information from the camera view on the external screen without you having to open your phone. For example, you can scan a festival poster and have Gemini add the correct dates to your Samsung calendar.
