Eurofiber announces the acquisition of Arcadiz, a Belgian provider of mission-critical connectivity. With this move, Eurofiber aims to expand its network solutions and respond to the increasing demand for robust and scalable digital infrastructure.
Strengthening network capacity
Arcadiz, founded in 1999 and based in Leuven, designs, builds and manages networks for clients in the Benelux. The company provides tailored solutions for large companies, governments and utility companies. Arcadiz has 38 employees and already makes partial use of Eurofiber’s fiber-optic network.
According to Kris Warreyn, CEO of Arcadiz, the acquisition offers new growth opportunities. He emphasizes that clients will benefit from Eurofiber’s economies of scale and interconnectivity. Warreyn sees the collaboration as an opportunity to further optimize and grow services within a broader European network.
European growth strategy
Hans Witdouck, CEO of Eurofiber Belgium, says the acquisition fits within the company’s European growth strategy. Eurofiber wants to respond to clients’ increasingly complex connectivity needs and strengthen its technical expertise. By acquiring Arcadiz, Eurofiber strengthens its position in Belgium and further expands its market reach.
They were both present at our roundtable, from which it was already clear that there was a similar vision. They both stressed the importance of good guidance in choosing the right connectivity solution, as companies often do not have enough knowledge to decide on their own. They were also both of the opinion that connectivity quality is often not fully understood by customers. Especially then the difference between capacity and effective speed.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
