Xiaomi expands its range with the new Redmi 15 5G smartphone.
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 15 5G, a smartphone with a battery capacity of 7,000 mAh, the largest battery size so far within the brand’s lineup. The device also features a 6.9-inch screen, 5G support, and various AI functions.
Battery Life and Performance
The Redmi 15 5G is equipped with a 7,000 mAh battery that, according to the manufacturer, can support up to two days of use. The battery supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging. Features like Smart Charging Engine 2.0 and Battery Health 4.0 are designed to extend the lifespan. Xiaomi states that with a remaining charge of 1 percent, up to 59 minutes of calling or 7.5 hours of standby is still possible.
The device runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Mobile Platform and offers 5G connectivity. Configurations are available with up to 16 GB RAM (expandable via virtual memory) and up to 2 TB expandable storage.
Screen, Camera, and Additional Features
The 6.9-inch FHD+ screen has a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 288 Hz. The screen is TÜV Rheinland-certified for low blue light emission, flicker-free use, and a circadian-friendly light profile. The smartphone has an IP64 certification for splash and dust resistance and uses Wet Touch Technology 2.0 for operation with moist fingers.
The camera setup consists of a 50 MP AI dual-camera system with features like AI Erase, AI Sky, and Dynamic Shots. In terms of audio, the Redmi 15 5G supports Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos, with a volume boost of 200 percent. The device runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 and supports Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity.
The Redmi 15 5G is available in three colors and two storage variants (4 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB), with a starting price of 229 euros.
