The two new A4 printers from Sharp are aimed at business users who prioritize security and want to print quickly.
Sharp brings two new A4 printers to the Belgian market. These include a black and white printer (BP-B547PW) and a color printer (BP-C542PW), both designed for business users who want to print quickly, easily, and securely.
Security without Extra Hardware
The new devices are designed for environments where printing is an essential process, but space and support are limited. Both models are equipped with an integrated 7-inch touchscreen that gives users access to secure print functions. A separate terminal is not necessary. The printers can be part of a print management system with “follow-me” functionality.
Both printers come standard with a Bitdefender anti-malware kit. After activation via a paid license, this software automatically checks all data sent to or from the printer. This applies to both locally printed documents and prints via the cloud. The devices also perform their own firmware and security updates, which simplifies maintenance and limits technical interventions.
Cloud Functionality and Print Speed
The printers are developed for hybrid workplaces. Users can upload documents remotely via platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Google Drive. Upon arrival at the office, they can print the desired documents using a personal code or badge. The printer displays the user’s cloud folders directly via the display.
The BP-B547PW achieves a speed of 47 page “s per minute in black and white, while the BP-C542PW reaches 42 page” s per minute in color and black and white. Both models are suitable for larger print jobs without frequent interruptions for replacing paper or toner. Thanks to the compact design, the devices can be integrated into smaller workplaces such as counters or open office spaces. The energy consumption in sleep mode is more than half lower than previous models.
The BP-B547PW and BP-C542PW are now available through Sharp Electronics Benelux and authorized partners in Belgium.
