The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra goes with the plumes with a grand 14.6-inch amoled display and wafer-thin design.
The tablet market worldwide is dominated by Apple with 55 percent market share. Android tablets are more of a footnote when looking at other brands, but Samsung is the only one offering a rebuttal with 27.5 percent market share. That dominant position (see Statcounter) within Android tablets the manufacturer is eager to maintain with the launch of three new Galaxy Tab S8 models:
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 (11 inches, 2,560 x 1,600, 120 Hz, LTPS TFT)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus (12.4 inches, 2,800 x 1,752, 120 Hz, amoled)
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra (14.6 inches, 2,960 x 1,848, 120 Hz, amoled)
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is the clear “entry-level” version with the only non-ampled screen. It is also the only one with a fingerprint sensor in the power button (not in the screen) and is powered by a hefty 8,000 mAh battery.

If you want a little more, you will end up with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus. As an extra, you get an amoled screen and a heftier battery (10,090 mAh). Other than that, there is little difference between the two models. They both support 45 watt fast charging to charge the large battery fast enough. Both have an active stylus in the box.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
The eye-catcher is undoubtedly the Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra. This flagship model features a grand 14.6-inch screen in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Like the other models, Samsung focuses here mainly on media consumption, but also extra productivity by displaying two windows (or more) on one screen.

Like every Tab S8 model, there is an active stylus in the box that you can snap to the back of the tablet for wireless charging. While the Tab S8 has a thickness of 6.3 mm and the S8 Plus measures 5.7 mm, the S8 Ultra has gone over the scrape the most at barely 5.5 mm. The combination of the huge screen size and thin profile makes the device an impressive sight.
