WhatsApp is getting three new features to improve the group chat experience. The features are member tags, text stickers, and event reminders.
The messaging app WhatsApp is adding three small but useful features to group chats. You can now add member tags to all people, create a sticker from your text, or enable reminders for events. WhatsApp already brought a series of new features to group chats last year to improve the messaging app experience. Some of those improvements include translating chat messages, summarizing, and the ability to send voice messages in a group conversation.
Labeling group members
WhatsApp is adding an interesting feature to group chats, namely member tags. This allows group members to assign themselves a tag that appears below their name. As in the WhatsApp example, this could be for soccer players, including ‘goalkeeper’. In a professional setting, it is also useful to see the function of all participants at a glance.

Text stickers
A second new feature focuses on structure in a group chat. If you want to make a chat message stand out, you can turn each word into a sticker by typing your text in Sticker Search. You can also add newly created stickers to your sticker pack before sending them in the chat.
Finally, you can already send events in a WhatsApp group conversation. Now it is also possible to send reminders for such a group event.
