Apple is bundling its creative software into an all-in-one package: Apple Creator Studio.
Apple introduces Apple Creator Studio, a new subscription that provides access to a bundle of creative apps for video editing, music production, image editing, and productivity, with new AI functionalities and extra content.
Creative tools bundled
Apple Creator Studio consists of apps such as Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage. Subscribers also get access to extra content and features in Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, and later in Freeform.
Final Cut Pro includes new AI features such as Search in Transcripts and Visual Search, which make it easier to find specific fragments in videos. Rhythm detection ensures that footage is automatically edited to the rhythm of music. On iPad, Montage Maker is added, with which AI automatically creates a montage from the best video moments.
Logic Pro also gets new functions. Synth Player and Chord ID use AI to automatically elaborate musical ideas. Logic Pro contains an extensive library of royalty-free samples and now also supports natural language commands for searching for sounds.
Focus on iPad and AI support
Pixelmator Pro is now also available on iPad, with support for Apple Pencil and touch control. Users can manipulate layers, crop images with Auto Crop, or improve them with Super Resolution. In Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, users get access to premium templates, images, and AI-generated features such as automatic presentation notes and rearranging slides. Freeform will be added to the offer later.
In addition to the 12.99 euro per month subscription, users can also purchase the apps once in the Mac App Store. That is a big difference compared to the largest provider of creative software: Adobe. In 2013, the latter decided to do away with application licenses and switch to a Creative Cloud Pro subscription of 73.90 euros per month. A subscription per app costs you 22.36 euros per month.
The separate versions of Final Cut Pro (€ 349.99), Logic Pro (€ 229.99), Pixelmator Pro (€ 59.99), Motion (€ 59.99), Compressor (€ 59.99) and MainStage (€ 34.99) are available as a one-time purchase in the Mac App Store. Apple Creator Studio is available from Wednesday, January 28 for 12.99 euros per month or 129 euros per year. It supports family sharing with up to six people.
