Proximus Global and Nokia Announce Partnership to Make Network APIs Accessible to Developers

Proximus Global and Nokia are collaborating to develop network APIs that support businesses in sectors such as financial services and healthcare in building new applications. The partnership includes integrating each other’s APIs into their respective platforms.

Network APIs

Proximus Global and Nokia have announced a collaboration on the sidelines of MWC 2025 to make network API “s accessible to developers. The aim is to support companies in building new applications that utilize telecommunications networks. Proximus Global will make its network API” s available on Nokia “’s Network as Code platform, while Nokia will offer its CAMARA and 5G API” s globally through Proximus Global.

Through this collaboration, enterprises and network operators gain access to APIs that enable various functions. These include network slicing, a technology supporting private 5G networks, and fraud prevention. An example is an API that uses location data to detect and block suspicious transactions. Companies can also utilize network slicing for large-scale events such as concerts.

API Access

Additionally, Proximus Global will deploy Nokia’s Network Exposure Platform and Enterprise API Hub to provide developers with easy access to network functionalities. These platforms are based on the GSMA Operator Platform standard and offer a standardized way to expose operator capabilities to developers.

According to Proximus Global, the collaboration aligns with their broader strategy of offering communication API “s through their CPaaS solutions. By adding network API” s, businesses and developers gain more opportunities to build applications based on network capabilities. Nokia sees the partnership as a step in expanding their Network as Code ecosystem, which currently includes 55 partners, including telecom operators such as BT, Deutsche Telekom, Orange, and Telefónica.

With the growth of network APIs, both companies aim to bridge the gap between telecom and various industries, enabling new business applications.
