The Xiaomi 15 makes its appearance in China. The device heralds the official debut for the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
Xiaomi has launched its latest flagships Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. For now, only in China, although we can expect the devices to come to Europe later. Xiaomi’s latest devices are the first commercial smartphones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite on board.
The processor was officially announced by Qualcomm earlier this month, and new smartphones usually don’t take long then. The Snapdragon 8 Elite is Qualcomm’s most powerful smartphone processor to date. You could almost call the processor a laptop processor.
In the announcement, Xiaomi talks about a 42 percent improvement in CPU performance and 44 percent improvement in GPU performance. The integrated NPU delivers up to 80 TOPS.
Xiaomi 15
The Xiaomi 15 handsets should further distinguish themselves again in photography, the Pro model at the forefront. The device comes with three lenses, including the telephoto lens from the Xiaomi 14 Ultra that impressed. With a 6100 mAh battery, you shouldn’t be short on battery life either.

The base model is a more compact device with a 6.36-inch screen. The device also comes with three cameras, including a telephoto lens. The battery is a bit smaller, but still 5400 mAh.
As usual, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro launch first in China. The manufacturer does not yet confirm the European launch, but usually the devices come to the European market in spring. Prices we don’t yet know either.
