Samsung introduces the Portable SSD T7 Resurrected, a new external SSD with a housing made from fully recycled aluminum.
The new Samsung Portable SSD T7 Resurrected targets creators seeking fast storage while paying more attention to material usage. The T7 Resurrected comes in three capacities: 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB. Samsung has launched the SSD globally. The recommended retail price is €129.99 for 1 TB, €199.99 for 2 TB, and €399.99 for 4 TB. All prices include VAT.
Mobile workflows
The T7 Resurrected achieves sequential read speeds up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds up to 1,000 MB/s via USB 3.2 Gen 2. This allows users to quickly move and process large video files, photos, or project data according to Samsung.
The SSD works with various devices and operating systems, including smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles, Windows, and macOS. According to Samsung, this makes the drive suitable for mobile 4K video recording and editing. The housing is approximately the size of a credit card, which should simplify transport for travelers and outdoor creators.

For data protection, the T7 Resurrected offers AES 256-bit hardware encryption. The drive can withstand drops from up to two meters high.
Housing made from recycled aluminum
The housing of the T7 Resurrected consists of 100 percent recycled aluminum. Samsung makes the housing from aluminum left over from Galaxy device production. This way, raw materials circulate between different product lines.
Samsung omits the coloring process. The SSD therefore retains the natural metal look and reduces the use of additional chemical steps.
