Samsung introduces the Galaxy Book6 family of laptops, based on the recently launched Intel Core Ultra Series3 chips.
Samsung is launching three laptops in the Galaxy Book6 family. The Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro, and Galaxy Book6 will be available in the Benelux region from the end of February.
The Galaxy Book6 series runs on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. These chips are based on Intel 18A technology and are therefore more efficient than their predecessors. The Ultra version of the laptops also features an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 or 5060 GPU for more demanding graphics tasks. Samsung supplies the laptops with 13 GB to 32 GB of RAM, depending on the model.
According to Samsung, the battery of the Ultra and Pro models can handle up to 30 hours of video playback, and charging to 63 percent should take half an hour. This should extend the usage time by five hours compared to the previous generation.
AI Functions
The Galaxy Book6 integrates Galaxy AI, with features such as AI Select, AI Cutout, and smart search options. These functions use the integrated NPU on the Intel chip. Users can select text on the touchscreen to request information, or cut out backgrounds from images. AI also helps with translating and summarizing notes.
The screen consists of a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with peak brightness up to 1,000 nits and adaptive refresh rate up to 120 Hz. According to Samsung, reflections are limited by anti-reflection technology and Corning Gorilla Glass DXC.
In terms of connectivity, there is support for Link to Windows, Multi Control, and Second Screen. Files can be easily shared between Galaxy devices. The devices are available in various shades of gray. There will also be an Enterprise Edition with extra functions for managed IT environments. Samsung is not sharing prices at this time.
