The source code on Samsung’s own website refers to an official announcement on Feb. 9. Starting Feb. 24, the devices should be on store shelves.
Even though the Samsung Galaxy S22 has not been officially announced yet, we already know almost all the details thanks to numerous leaks. The latest leak is one that comes from Samsung itself, more specifically from the source code of their website.
Twitter account TechInsider finds a clear reference to the launch of the new flagships under the tags “samsung galaxy 2022,” “galaxy s series” and “galaxy note series. The latter tag reaffirms that the flagship model, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, will have room for a stylus and become the spiritual successor to the Galaxy Note 20 after a sabbatical year in 2021.
The source code further mentions a February 9 launch date with presumably a digital “Unpacked” event. Starting Feb. 24, the devices should be in stores. These dates confirm previous leaks circulating on the Internet.
A new 45 watt fast charger is also online on Samsung’s Dutch website, according to Let’s Go Digital. That one is 30 percent more compact than the previous 45 watt fast charger launched with the Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The Galaxy S21 series only supported a maximum of up to 25 watts of fast charging. With the new power adapter, chances are the Samsung Galaxy S22 will again support fast charging up to 45 watts or maybe even more? Waiting for the official announcement on Feb. 9.
