Qnap Introduces the TS-h1277AFX: 12-bay All-Flash NAS with an AMD Ryzen 7 9000 CPU
Qnap launches a new NAS focused on performance. The device has twelve 2.5-inch bays designed for SATA SSDs. Qnap delivers the NAS with 4 GB RAM, but you can expand the memory up to a maximum of 192 GB via four DDR5 DIMMs. Computing power comes from an AMD Ryzen 7 9000 chip with eight cores and sixteen threads, featuring a turbo clock speed of 5.5 GHz. This chip has an integrated GPU that can support graphical workloads.
The combination of flash, a substantial amount of memory, and a powerful processor make this desktop NAS suitable for supporting demanding workloads. The high speeds require a fast connection. The NAS features two 2.5GbE and two 10GBASE-T network ports.
Furthermore, Qnap equips the TS-h1277AFX with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports with 10 Gbps speed. Additionally, the system has an HDMI 4K output for direct display of content on monitors.
Expansion and OS
Users can optionally add expansion cards to support 25GbE connectivity for faster data transfer. Three PCIe Gen 4 expansion slots allow for further customization, such as additional networking capabilities, JBOD storage expansions, or M.2 SSD upgrades.
