Qnap has announced a new 1U rackmount NAS: the TS-433eU. This compact four-disk system is designed for businesses that need an affordable storage and backup solution in space-constrained environments.
The TS-433eU has a depth of only 292.3 mm, making it suitable for small cabinets and wall-mounted network racks. The system is equipped with an energy-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 quad-core processor and 4 GB of memory. As a result, the NAS offers stable operation with lower power consumption than x86-based alternatives. The built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU) supports AI applications such as face recognition and subject identification via Qnap’s QuMagic software.
In addition, the TS-433eU features two 2.5GbE ports that enable fast data transfer and fault tolerance via SMB Multichannel or Port Trunking. With two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, users can expand external storage up to 144TB using Qnap’s TR-004U JBOD solution.

Focus on data protection and versatility
The TS-433eU supports comprehensive backup options, including PCs, servers and cloud platforms such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. Snapshot integration protects data from ransomware and enables fast recovery options. In addition, users can implement Docker containers for microservices or deploy the NAS as a video surveillance system.
