Lenovo introduces three new Chromebooks for education: the Chromebook 100e Gen 5, Chromebook 500e 2-in-1 Gen 5 and Chromebook Plus i 14.
Lenovo launches three new Chromebook models suitable for students, teachers and IT teams, with a focus on management, connectivity and security. In addition, Lenovo is adding ChromeOS support to its Lenovo Device Orchestration management platform. The devices will also be coming to the Benelux in the first half of 2026. The manufacturer has not yet announced prices.
For students, teachers and IT teams
The Lenovo Chromebook 100e Gen 5 focuses on primary and secondary education. The device comes with an Intel Processor N150 or MediaTek Kompanio 540 and with an 11.6- or 12.2-inch screen, with or without touchscreen. Lenovo emphasizes that the design is intended for intensive daily use and that parts are replaceable via CRU components. The Chromebook 100e gets a 50Wh battery and support for Wi-Fi 7 and optional 4G LTE.

The Lenovo Chromebook 500e 2-in-1 Gen 5 is a convertible with a choice of Intel Processor N150 or N250, or MediaTek Kompanio 540. Schools can choose between 11.6- and 12.2-inch touchscreens in the same chassis. The model supports a USI 2.0 stylus that can be stored in the device. Lenovo mentions a battery life of up to 16 hours and also provides Wi-Fi 7 and two USB-C ports here.

For teachers and administrators, there is the Lenovo Chromebook Plus i 14 with an Intel Core 3 Processor N355. According to Lenovo, the device weighs from 1.4 kilograms and gets a 16:10 display, Waves Maxx Audio and a 5MP camera with physical privacy shutter. Lenovo also refers to access to Google AI functions within ChromeOS for tasks such as content creation and image editing.
ChromeOS management via Lenovo Device Orchestration
Lenovo Device Orchestration (LDO) gets support for ChromeOS. IT teams can onboard Chromebooks via a link with the Google Admin Console and view them centrally in a Chrome Management page within LDO. Lenovo mentions that administrators can consult telemetry data, such as last check-in, battery status and last user, to support management and security.
