Lenovo launches its own AI assistant Qira for tablets, laptops and smartphones that independently performs tasks on multiple devices. It is the successor to Lenovo AI Now and moto AI.
Lenovo announces Qira, an AI assistant that stands out among all the hardware announcements during CES 2026. Qira is a built-in AI function that works across different devices. Lenovo’s AI assistant is available on selected laptops and tablets, but also the smartphones of subsidiary Motorola will get their own variant: Motorola Qira. The AI assistant is able to independently perform tasks across multiple devices.
The rollout will start in the first quarter of 2026 on selected Lenovo devices and will later expand to Motorola smartphones.
Lenovo Qira
Lenovo Qira is the new AI assistant that will soon be active on various Lenovo devices and Motorola smartphones. From then on, users will be able to consult the assistant via a bar. To activate the AI bot, users must say ‘Hey Qira’, although Lenovo laptops may get a special key in the future.
Qira uses data and files on your device. In addition, Qira works across different devices: the information on one device can be retrieved via the other device. Furthermore, the AI assistant is able to make suggestions itself.
Disable
For those who prefer not to use Lenovo Qira, there is the option to disable the AI assistant. Users can also indicate which files the AI assistant can access. In addition, according to Lenovo, personal data is processed locally. It is not yet clear which Lenovo devices and Motorola smartphones can use Qira.
