Jabra introduces a renewed meeting system for medium-sized rooms and simultaneously launches a compact video bar for small meeting rooms.
Jabra has introduced the second generation of the PanaCast 50 Room System in collaboration with Lenovo. This plug-and-play solution combines Jabra’s 180° 4K video bar with the Lenovo ThinkSmart Core Gen 2. This compute unit is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor and processes AI-intensive tasks faster. This results in improved performance in terms of image, sound, and energy consumption.
USB Integration
A notable addition is USB-C integration. This allows users to share their screen, charge the system, and use the video bar in BYOD mode via a single cable. For controlling the system, Jabra offers two new options: a simple USB touch controller and an IP-controlled version for installations up to 100 meters away.
The system is further equipped with practical installation options such as a sliding cable cover, an adapter holder, and a removable tray for cable management. These are designed to ensure a neat and flexible integration, even in more complex meeting rooms.
Compact Video Bar for Small Rooms Now Available
In addition to the upgrade for medium-sized meeting rooms, Jabra also announces the worldwide availability of the PanaCast 40 VBS. This Android-based video bar is aimed at smaller meeting rooms and has a 180° field of view that captures all participants, regardless of the room’s layout.
The bar features six microphones with adaptive beamforming and a speaker. Intelligent audio algorithms are designed to improve conversation quality. Thanks to its design, quick installation is possible. Provisioning can even be done without removing the device from its packaging. This makes the video bar suitable for rapid deployment within Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms. BYOD setups are also supported.
Both systems are compatible with Jabra+, which centralizes updates and management. This keeps them aligned with evolving workplaces.
