Jabra is expanding its video conferencing portfolio with the PanaCast 40 VBS, an Android video bar designed for small meeting rooms. The device offers a 180-degree viewing angle and advanced audio technology. The launch took place at ISE 2025 in Barcelona.
Video conferencing for small meeting rooms
The PanaCast 40 VBS is a compact version of the previously launched PanaCast 50 VBS. The system uses a dual-camera setup and advanced stitching technology to bring the entire room into view. According to Jabra, only three percent of small meeting rooms worldwide have a videoconferencing solution, while hybrid working is becoming more common.
In addition to camera functionality, the system also offers an advanced audio experience. The video bar features six microphones with adaptive beamforming, a speaker and algorithms that ensure clear voice recordings. This should ensure that both physical and online participants understand each other well.
Easy installation and wide compatibility
Jabra focuses on easy installation and quick deployment with the PanaCast 40 VBS. The smart cable routing and packaging method allow the system to be set up without taking it completely out of the box. The video bar also shares accessories with the PanaCast 50 VBS, which increases its deployability.
The system is certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom and supports BYOD setups. Additional accessories, such as a touch controller and removable cover, improve usability and maintainability. Management is via the Jabra+ software.
The Jabra PanaCast 40 VBS will be available from June 2025 for a suggested retail price of 1,499 euros.
