Belkin is launching a new docking station that supports Thunderbolt 4. One 8K display or two 4K displays can be connected to the product.
Under the name “Connect Pro Thunderbolt 4 Dock,” Belkin is launching a new docking station. It is the first docking station Belkin is releasing for Thunderbolt 4 products.
The product is the successor to the “Thunderbolt 3 Dock Pro. Other than the connectivity options, not much has changed about the docking station. With that, the housing still consists of aluminum and glossy plastic.
12 connections
In total, the docking station has connections for 12 devices, spread across the front and back of the product. The following ports are all present:
- Two Thunderbolt 4 ports
- One USB-C Gen 2 port
- Two HDMI 2.0 ports
- Two USB-A 3.1 ports
- Two USB-A 2.0 ports
- One port for an SD card 4.0
- One Gigabit Ethernet port
- One 3.5mm audio port
Two 4K displays can be connected to the product and the refresh rate comes to 60 Hz. A single 8K screen is also possible with a refresh rate of 30 Hz.
Belkin is asking $399 for the new docking station; at Alternate, the product is on sale for $499.
