The design of the iPhone SE remains unchanged, but internally the phone gets a big boost and 5G connectivity.
The entry-level model within the iPhone lineup, the iPhone SE, is getting a hardware update. Those expecting a facelift must be disappointed. The design remains identical with a 4.7-inch screen, Touch ID fingerprint sensor at the bottom and the hefty bezels at the top and bottom.
The main innovation is the new A15 Bionic chip that you can also find in every iPhone 13 model today. The 12 megapixel camera also gets an upgrade with portrait mode, portrait exposure and improved HDR functionality.

The latest model in the iPhone lineup, the iPhone SE now also enjoys 5G connectivity. Other key improvements include IP67 water resistance and stronger glass on the front and back of the device. Apple also talks about better battery life, but does not show any figures to back up that claim.
The iPhone SE will be available from March 18 and starts from $529 for the 64 GB version. 128 GB will cost you 579 euros while a 256 GB model will cost 699. The device is available in three colors: black, white and red. All prices include VAT.
During the online event, Apple announced another new iPad Air and is putting the powerful M1 Ultra chip in the new Apple Mac Studio desktop.
