The iPad Air features an M3 chip, a redesigned Magic Keyboard, and is designed for Apple Intelligence. According to Apple, this product is a unique combination of performance and mobility.
Apple launches a new version of the iPad Air, equipped with the M3 chip. This model is available in two sizes with four color variants and comes with a matching redesigned Magic Keyboard. Additionally, the standard iPad is updated with the A16 chip and increased storage capacity.
Faster Performance and Support for Apple Intelligence
The new iPad Air runs on the M3 chip, which Apple claims is up to twice as fast as the M1 chip. The device supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing and has an improved Neural Engine for faster AI processing. The iPad Air is available in 11-inch and 13-inch versions. The model is compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro and the new Magic Keyboard, which has a larger trackpad and fourteen function keys.

The iPad Air supports Apple Intelligence, Apple’s AI functionalities. These include improved photo editing, smart search functions, and AI integration in Siri and the Notes app. ChatGPT is built into Siri and the Writing Tools, without requiring users to create an account.
iPad with A16 Chip and iPadOS 18
In addition to the iPad Air, the standard iPad also receives an update. This model now features the A16 chip and has doubled storage capacity. Apple states that this model is up to 30 percent faster than its predecessor.
The new devices run on iPadOS 18, which introduces a redesigned Calculator app with handwritten equations, among other features. There are also improvements in the Notes app, such as automatic correction of handwritten text. Furthermore, there’s a renewed control panel and more options to customize the home screen.
The iPad Air can be ordered starting today and will be delivered from March 12. Prices start at 719 euros for the 11-inch version and 969 euros for the 13-inch version. The updated iPad starts at 409 euros.
