Microsoft has released the November optional updates for Windows 11 and Windows 10.

The optional updates for November bring enhancements and bug fixes to all supported versions, including Windows 11 24H2, 23H2/22H2 and Windows 10 22H2. This is the last optional update of the year as the Windows team switches to minimal operations over the holidays.

Subtle improvements

Many changes were previously tested in the Windows Insider program and are now being rolled out widely, Thurrot reports. Among the improvements are subtle but useful changes, such as shortened date and time in the system tray and improved Start menu functionality. New options allow you to disable touch screen gestures or adjust mouse scroll direction.

It is now easier to share files via Phone Link. In addition, Microsoft fixes an activation issue that occurred after replacing a motherboard: a change that benefits both Windows 11 and Windows 10. For Windows 10 users, a bug that affected file management when dragging from a cloud storage has also been fixed.

These changes will become generally available in December.
