OneDrive is getting its own app in Windows 11, allowing you to efficiently organize files in the cloud.

OneDrive is getting its own dedicated app in Windows 11 with Copilot features and a gallery view, as Windows Central reports. It has not yet been officially announced by Microsoft, but the app leaked through Microsoft’s OneDrive software files. Windows Central already delved into it to get a first impression.

Modern Interface

Microsoft is currently working on a dedicated OneDrive app for Windows 11. When the native app is installed, the OneDrive icon appears in the taskbar and opens in its own window.

The app will feature a modern interface that emphasizes viewing photos and videos, as well as file management and editing. Naturally, the new interface includes a Copilot feature, which appears when you hover over a file. This allows you to quickly switch to a chat with Copilot and ask questions about the respective file.

It is not yet clear when the application will be available to the general public. The app already looks quite ready, so it shouldn’t be long now.
