Microsoft brings new features to old Windows 10

Although the retirement age of Windows 10 is approaching, Microsoft is still introducing new testing features for Windows Insiders.

Windows 10 will officially come to an end on Oct. 14. So users still have a few months to upgrade or buy a new laptop. Although Windows 10 is almost deprecated, Microsoft is still coming knocking on the door with some new features to test out for Windows Insiders. These include a new calendar view in the taskbar with weather forecasting, and the new Outlook will be available in Windows 10.

New in old Windows 10

Although Microsoft is encouraging its users in many ways to switch to Windows 11, the company still recognizes the popularity of Windows 10. As such, Microsoft continues to feed this operating system with new features, such as the Copilot app. Now the company is releasing Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.5435 (KB5050081) to the Release Preview Channel for Insiders using Windows 10, version 22H2.

There is the revamped calendar in the taskbar that mentions the weather forecast, as noted by X user Phantomofearth. Furthermore, the new Outlook for Windows app is also available in Windows 10 for test users. Microsoft previously announced that it would install the new Outlook client on Windows 10 with an update that cannot be refused.
