Meta announces the Business Agent as an AI partner that helps businesses communicate more efficiently with customers. The solution can be integrated into existing business environments and is available through a free entry-level model. Additionally, a platform is being introduced that allows companies to build and manage their own AI agents.
According to Meta, more than a million businesses are already using a Business Agent on WhatsApp and Messenger, with over a billion active conversations daily.
Meta Business Agent
Meta Business Agent can perform various tasks, such as answering business-specific questions, making product recommendations, scheduling appointments, and qualifying leads. Businesses can determine when an employee takes over the conversation. Closing sales is also among the possibilities.
The agent is now being rolled out worldwide and supports communication in local languages and with the organization’s preferred tone of voice. In addition to WhatsApp and Messenger, Business Agent is also becoming available on Instagram.
Integrations
The new Meta Business Agent Platform enables companies to link agents to hundreds of external systems, such as Shopify and Zendesk. Businesses gain access to enterprise-grade controls and reporting, enabling scalability and personalization within the messaging apps customers already use.
Soon, it will be easier for consumers to find businesses with a Business Agent via WhatsApp, including searching by business name, phone number, or via contact cards. This expansion is intended to help businesses reach new customers more efficiently and respond faster.
