Last Windows 11 24H2 of the year reveals new features

The last update of the year for Windows 11 24H2 already shows some of its new features.

The December update, and immediately the last update of the year, for Windows 11 24H2 includes several new features and changes, noted Windows Latest. Among other things, the update includes the ability to change the layout of the date and time in the taskbar, and offers multiple menu options in the so-called jumplists, when you right-click on an icon. Task management and more

A first new feature of the December update for Windows 11 24H2 is a change to the task manager. In the Performance section, under the disk labels you will be able to see more details including the disk type. This makes it easier to identify the type of SSD and HDD installed on your Windows11 device.

Furthermore, users with RGB devices, which have the function Dynamic Lighting in Windows, will be presented with a simplified page where they can adjust dynamic lighting in Settings can easily adjust and control it.

The update additionally offers the ability to change the layout of the date and time in the taskbar, making the box take up less space for users who prefer compact designs.

Comprehensive jump list

One of the new features offered by the update is more jumplist options in context menus. A jumplist is the menu view that appears when you right-click on an icon in the taskbar. For example, when you use this for the Screenshot tool, the new update will display multiple options such as taking screenshots in 3,5 or 10 seconds. Several new jump lists will be added for system apps in the Start menu.
