DeepL adds three new languages and extra meeting features to its AI translation service Voice. Zoom integration will follow soon.
The translation platform DeepL adds extra support for three new languages to its real-time speech translation service DeepL Voice. These languages are Mandarin, Ukrainian, and Romanian. This complements the existing offerings (English, German, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Dutch, French, Turkish, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Italian). Translated subtitles are available in the 35 languages supported by DeepL Translator, with Vietnamese and Hebrew as new additions.
Furthermore, the company announces that DeepL Voice for Meetings will soon be available for Zoom. The feature is already possible in Microsoft Teams.
New languages
DeepL has expanded its real-time speech translation service DeepL Voice with support for Mandarin, Ukrainian, and Romanian. The new languages are added to the existing offering of thirteen spoken languages. Additionally, Vietnamese and Hebrew have been added as new options for subtitles.

The updates aim to help companies conduct multilingual meetings more efficiently. Users can now download full transcripts and translations of meetings. New admin features have also been added for better control over security and compliance.
DeepL Voice for Meetings will soon be available for Zoom. The service was already integrated with Microsoft Teams. This allows users to automatically see subtitles in multiple languages during an online meeting. DeepL Voice for Conversations, intended for direct speech translation in physical conversations, remains available on iOS and Android.
Improve communication
DeepL launched Voice in November 2024. The service aims to eliminate language barriers in international collaboration. According to the company, 70 percent of international organizations experience operational problems due to language differences. DeepL Voice is designed to improve communication between teams in different countries.
