Adobe is discontinuing Adobe Animate on March 1, 2026. Existing customers will receive one more year of support and time to download their files.
“Adobe Animate will no longer be available for download for new customers from March 1, 2026,” Adobe said on its FAQ page. The 2D animation app will still be available for existing customers for one year, and business customers can still download files and receive support until March 1, 2029. According to the company, new technologies are the basis for phasing out the 2D animation app.

New technologies
