Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro are getting AI agents that provide suggestions for performing edits.
Like almost every other technology company, Adobe is also fully embracing AI agents. Adobe recently launched the Experience Platform Agent Orchestrator, which allows companies to orchestrate AI agents. Now Adobe is building new AI agents into Photoshop and Express that help users perform edits based on natural language.
Describing Edits
Adobe is building its own AI agent for Photoshop, or as Adobe describes it, “our first creative agent in Photoshop”. This AI agent will appear in a new floating panel in Photoshop. Here you can easily describe in natural language which action you want to perform, but the AI agent also provides suggestions for edits.
Adobe emphasizes that the use of these AI agents is not intended to make the edits faster. Rather, it is a way to help users learn how to work with Photoshop.

“In the future, the Photoshop agent can help you learn to use the tool, share feedback and suggestions, and even handle repetitive tasks, such as preparing files for export. You retain creative control, while your agent helps you where you want,” says Ely Greenfield, CTO of Digital Media at Adobe.
Premiere Pro
Users of Premiere Pro will also receive support from AI agents. For this, Adobe is building further on the Media Intelligence feature. Adobe recently launched Generative Extend, which allows additional images and audio material to be added.

In the future, the AI agents will analyze videos for objects and composition, so you can find the appropriate footage. “While AI cannot replace human creative inspiration, it can, with your input, make some educated guesses to help you get your project off the ground,” Greenfield states. These new AI agents will be introduced during the Max event in London on April 24.
