Trend Micro further expands its strategic partnership with Google Cloud to enhance AI-driven cybersecurity and sovereign cloud solutions. The partners aim to help organizations innovate securely in multicloud environments while maintaining control over sensitive data.
Sovereign Cloud Integration
With Trend Vision One Sovereign and Private Cloud, Trend Micro integrates directly with Google Cloud Assured Workloads. This allows companies to protect workloads in public, hybrid, and on-premises environments, meeting strict data sovereignty and compliance requirements.
This issue is particularly sensitive in Europe. Under the U.S. Cloud Act, providers like Microsoft, AWS, and Google can be required to hand over data to U.S. authorities, even for European data centers. This means that American players can never fully guarantee sovereignty, something even acknowledged by Microsoft admitted.
Together against Scammers
Trend Vision One solutions are now available through the Google Cloud Marketplace and the Google Workspace Marketplace, where Trend Micro Cloud App Security has been downloaded over four million times.
Together, they are developing new AI tools against online fraud, such as Trend Micro ScamCheck. This now uses Google’s Gemini models via Vertex AI to verify the authenticity of images and SMS content.
