Dynatrace expands collaboration with Google Cloud

Dynatrace expands its collaboration with Google Cloud, offering new integrations with Gemini Enterprise and Gemini CLI extensions. The integrations are now also available through the Google Cloud Marketplace.

Dynatrace has expanded its collaboration with Google Cloud to support integrations with Gemini Enterprise and Gemini CLI extensions. This allows organizations to leverage Dynatrace’s observability features in combination with Google’s agentic AI approach. Dynatrace also reports that its AI-driven integrations are now available through the Google Cloud Marketplace.

Observability features

A component of the expansion is a Dynatrace extension for Gemini CLI. This should give developers access to observability and root cause analysis from the terminal. Dynatrace says this allows teams to monitor, debug, and optimize applications without leaving their existing workflow.

In addition, Gemini Enterprise AI agents connect to Dynatrace’s observability platform via Google’s A2A (agent-to-agent) protocol. According to Dynatrace, this link allows systems to collaborate in real time to detect and resolve issues in complex environments. The company also states that the integration can help prevent problems by passing signals to agents faster.

Marketplace

To simplify implementations, Dynatrace is placing its integrations in the Google Cloud Marketplace. This should make it easier for customers to implement and scale agentic AI solutions within Google Cloud environments.

Dynatrace indicates that it has a Google-validated agent that is compatible with A2A and Gemini Enterprise. According to the company, this validation confirms that the integration meets performance and reliability requirements within the Google Cloud partner ecosystem.

Jay Snyder, SVP Partners and Alliances at Dynatrace, says the collaboration is intended to help customers build systems that can adapt in real time. Mitch Ashley, VP and Practice Lead at Futurum Research, emphasizes that the combination of CLI integration and A2A coupling can reduce friction between development and operational processes.
