Ubiquiti launches 2.5 Gb Ethernet switches with eight ports

Ubiquiti is introducing the Flex 2.5G and the Flex 2.5G PoE. Both switches have eight 2.5 Gb RJ-45 ports on board. You can connect things via 10 GbE.

Ubiquiti is introducing two new switches: the Ubiquiti Flex 2.5G and variant Ubiquiti Flex 2.5 G PoE. You can see the difference between the two devices already in the name: the standard model gets power through a USB Type-C port, the Flex 2.5G PoE does not have such a port on board. You can power he device via a separately available adapter, but of course the idea is to use PoE+++ via the 10 Gb SFP+ port.

The regular Flex 2.5G also has such a 10 Gb-sfp+ port, but does not receive power through the socket. Both devices are further equipped with a 10 Gb-RJ45 connector. Furthermore, Ubiquiti provides the switches with eight 2.5 GbE ports to expand your network.

The Flex 2.5G is available immediately. That device costs 145 euros excluding VAT. The Ubiquiti Flex 2.5G is available from January 16 and will cost 180 euros excluding VAT. Both devices can be wall-mounted.
