Digi is launching a 5G home internet subscription for users who do not yet have access to fiber optic. The subscription costs seven euros per month.
The Belgian provider Digi is introducing a 5G home internet subscription for users who do not yet have fiber optic. The subscription costs seven euros per month and offers download and upload speeds of 100 and 10 Mbps respectively. The so-called 5G Home subscription is only possible at addresses where there is sufficient 5G coverage.
5G home internet subscription
Digi 5G Home Internet offers up to 100 Mbps download speed, 10 Mbps upload speed and unlimited data volume. It is intended as an alternative for households that do not yet have access to fiber optic. If fiber optic does become available at the address later, customers can choose whether to switch or stay with the subscription.
“5G Home Internet is a fixed home internet solution via Fixed Wireless Access (FWA). This technology ensures that 5G signals in the area are converted into Wi-Fi by a router, so you have stable wireless internet everywhere in the house,” the company said in an announcement.

The subscription comes down to seven euros per month, with a one-off installation cost of 40 euros. You can only take out one 5G Home subscription per address and a maximum of two subscriptions per customer.
Check your address
To be eligible for the subscription, your home must be located in an area covered by Digi’s 5G network. Via the provider’s website you can check whether your address is eligible for the 5G internet subscription.
