Nvidia launches new tools for developers working on robots with artificial intelligence

Nvidia launches new tools tailored for developers looking to combine AI and robotics. The solutions Nvidia announced today should speed up AI robot development cycles through simulation, blueprinting and modeling.

Project Gr00t gets six new workflows

One example of such a tool, announced at the annual Conference for Robot Learning in Munich, is the open-source Isaac Lab. Isaac Lab is a framework that accomplishes the testing and training of robots in virtual environments.

In addition, Nvidia is introducing six new workflows for Project Gr00t to build advanced robots faster, SiliconANGLE knows. GR00T-Gen creates realistic training environments, while GR00T-Mimic enables robots to imitate human movements. GR00T-Dexterity optimizes robots’ fine motor skills, and GR00T-Mobility helps robots smoothly navigate obstacles. GR00T-Perception makes robots aware of their surroundings and helps them remember human interactions.

More and more large tech companies are betting on robotics, including Google, Meta and Lenovo. It is only a matter of time before the business world is completely changed by the use of robotics.
