Lenovo launches three new AI inference servers and associated solutions and services that help companies apply trained AI models in real time, both in the data center and at the edge.

Lenovo is expanding its portfolio with three new servers focused on AI inferencing in a variety of sectors. The ThinkSystem SR675i, SR650i and ThinkEdge SE455i are designed to deploy trained AI models in real time, both in the data center and at the edge of the network. The manufacturer is announcing the new products at its own Tech World event on the sidelines of CES in Las Vegas.

Inference in data center on location

Lenovo introduces the ThinkSystem SR675i as its most powerful AI inferencing server. This model supports full Large Language Models (LLM’s) and is suitable for complex applications in healthcare, the financial sector and the manufacturing industry, among others. Blackwell chips from Nvidia drive the inference.

The ThinkSystem SR650i is aimed at organizations that want to integrate AI inference into existing data centers, with higher GPU density and scalability.

For edge applications, Lenovo is launching the ThinkEdge SE455i. This compact server is intended for use in environments such as retail, telecom and industry. Thanks to its robust design, it operates within temperatures from -5°C to 55°C. The new servers are compatible with Lenovo Neptune water cooling technology and available via the TruScale consumption model.

Associated services

In addition to the hardware, Lenovo is also introducing new solutions and services under the banner of Hybrid AI Advantage. The Hybrid AI Factory offers a modular architecture for rolling out AI solutions with pre-validated infrastructure, software and management.

Collaborations with Nutanix, Red Hat and Canonical provide a variety of inferencing platforms. The Nutanix integration supports shared GPU infrastructure in virtual environments. Red Hat AI offers a scalable foundation for complex AI environments. The combination with Ubuntu Pro focuses on cost efficiency and rapid implementation, including with the ThinkSystem SR650i.

Lenovo also offers Hybrid AI Factory Services, with advice and support for setting up inferencing environments. These services help companies get faster returns on their AI investments and keep their infrastructure scalable.
