According to IBM, it is now the largest provider in terms of cloud infrastructure for SAP S/4HANA and the only one that combines it with application management and business transformation.

IBM has signed a partnership with SAP to move mission-critical SAP workloads to the public cloud. It is stepping into a “Rise with SAP” agreement to have both the technology and consulting expertise to migrate customers from on-premises to the cloud.

Under the marketing name “Breakthrough with IBM for Rise with SAP,” Big Blue wants to use intelligent workflows to streamline operations. Yet another buzzword we see passing by is “business transformation.

‘Rise with SAP’ is a subscription that houses a set of products and services. The key component is S/4 HANA Cloud Edition that allows customers to run their cloud infrastructure in an SAP data center or another cloud provider of their choice.

IBM emphasizes that SAP enterprise customers benefit greatly from moving to the cloud. A sponsored study found that revenues are up to 90% higher for organizations that make the switch.
