Telindus announces that it will henceforth continue under the name Proximus NXT in the Netherlands and Luxembourg. This name change reflects Telindus’ transformation into a managed services organization within the Proximus Group.
The new name unifies all of Proximus’ business IT activities, while maintaining Telindus’ focus on secure and reliable IT infrastructure. In Luxembourg, the new name will be Proximus NXT. In the Netherlands, Telindus will continue as Proximus NXT Netherlands. Telindus was acquired by the then Belgacom Group in 2006 and sold its Spanish branch in 2011.
Telindus is building on its forty years of expertise in the IT market with this new name. The company continues to offer a wide range of managed services, including cybersecurity, networking, automation and hybrid cloud. The name change is a logical step, as the name Telindus, derived from “Telecom Industry,” no longer covers its current activities.
Proximus NXT, founded in 2023, is the umbrella brand within the Proximus Group for all business IT services. The rebranding further strengthens the position of Proximus NXT Netherlands, according to the brand.
According to CEO Joris Leupen, the name change has no direct impact on the company’s day-to-day services or operations. Leupen emphasizes that the new name will improve cooperation within the Proximus Group, resulting in greater strength and market visibility. “The name change strengthens our market position and the internal ‘we’ feeling within the company,” Leupen said.
He added that customers can continue to rely on Proximus NXT Netherlands’ expertise to optimize their IT infrastructure. The legal transition to Proximus NXT Netherlands will be completed on Jan. 1, 2025.
