How Do You Adjust your Mouse for Left-Handed Users?

As a left-handed person, you’re almost forced to buy a left-handed mouse, or you can switch the functions of your mouse buttons.

The computer mouse is designed for right-handed people. That’s all fine, except if you’re left-handed. Ergonomically, such a mouse is usually not convenient. If you already have an ergonomic mouse, you don’t need to immediately purchase a new one. You can simply switch the standard click function to the right mouse button.

How do you do that?

  • Via Settings

Go to Settings. Then open Bluetooth & Devices. Next, select Mouse. At the top, you’ll find the option to set the primary mouse button. If it’s set to left, choose right.

  • Via the Control Panel

You can also adjust the setting through the control panel. Click on the Hardware and Sound category, and then under Devices and Printers click on Mouse. Check “Switch primary and secondary buttons” and you’ll have the same effect.
