[Advertorial] Brightness, without sacrificing deep blacks, and vivid colors, without unrealistic saturation: graphics professionals need a well-calibrated and high-tech screen panel. MSI meets that demand with its True Pixel Mini LED displays.
Creating a screen that looks beautiful is not that difficult. Increase saturation for vivid and bright colors, and integrate deep blacks. Something like this looks attractive, but that’s why what you see on your screen doesn’t match reality.
If you perform color-sensitive work on your computer, you need a nice, sharp and bright screen that is also colorfast. In other words, if a dress in a photo looks bright red on your screen, it will be just as red on another good screen or after printing on a professional printer, and not suddenly pink.
Strong together
MSI addresses that need of graphics professionals by integrating True Pixel Mini LED displays into its Creator laptop range. Those displays combine two technologies that work together to give users razor-sharp, yet correct images.
First and foremost is Mini LED technology. Mini LED is a further development of LCD and a technology that stands alongside classic OLED. In an OLED display, each pixel lights up individually, independent of the pixel next to it. That makes for deep blacks and nice contrast, but the technology is complex and has limitations mainly in terms of brightness.
Mini LED
Mini LED works just like classic LCD screens with an LCD panel that provides the colors of the pixels, illuminated from behind. Previously, that illumination was done by a handful of lamps, which shone through the entire panel. Thus, some light still shone through the black LCD pixels, with a slightly grayer result.

On a Mini LED display, illumination comes from thousands of LED lights. These illuminate only a small area of the screen and can be turned off in areas where the display should show black. Mini LED thus, like OLED, enables deep blacks. Unlike OLED pixels, however, Mini LED lights can shine brightly, giving the display technology a higher maximum brightness.
For the Mini LED displays in the MSI Creator series, that translates to a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits. That’s not only visible when watching HDR content, but also helps keep the screen more readable when sitting outside, or in front of a window on a bright and sunny day.
True Pixel
Mini LED thus has a lot of potential, but by itself does not guarantee correct colors. That’s what MSI does for its True Pixel displays themselves. Thus, the laptop specialist guarantees that the displays cover 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

[adv] Why mini LED and low Delta-E are essential for graphics professionals
That color space is the standard for professional video editing. With its full coverage, you know the panel can display all the details and nuances you expect from your images.
Manual calibration
That leaves the question of whether those details are displayed correctly. That, in turn, MSI guarantees by promising a Delta-E of less than two. The Delta-E value relates to the calibration of a display, and indicates the difference between the color that is displayed, and that color that should appear. The smaller the value, the more accurate the screen. A Delta-E under two is the standard for graphics professionals.
To accomplish that, MSI manually calibrates all True Pixel Mini LED displays of its Creator laptops as they roll off the factory line. The result is a phenomenal average Delta-E 0.68. The calibration is further verified by Calman software. The calibration report is included in the box.

MSI’s True Pixel displays offer a few other guarantees. If you see the label, for example, you know the panel has at least QHD+ resolution.
Colorfast worktop
All those factors work together to make the True Pixel displays of MSI Creator laptops the perfect work surface for professionals. Mini LED technology ensures high peak brightness without sacrificing contrast. The high resolution makes the panel sharp enough for detail work, while DCI-P3 coverage ensures that the screen can display all the color nuances you need. Finally, the verified calibration assures you that all the hues you see on the laptop match reality.
