The Logitech Zone Wireless 2 ES for Business is a professional and affordable headset with a long battery life, comfortable fit, and decent noise cancellation.
Late last year, Logitech launched two new models in its headset range: Logitech Zone Wireless 2 ES for Business (wireless) and Logitech Wired 2 (wired). The only difference between the two models is the freedom of movement. We take a closer look at the former in this review and compare it to its predecessor: Logitech Zone Wireless 2. At first glance, both models look very similar, although there are some subtle differences to be noted. Both models are designed for focused work, though the Zone Wireless 2 ES provides this with a bit more simplicity.
The Logitech Zone Wireless 2 ES for Business (native Bluetooth version) costs 169.99 euros incl. VAT: nearly 200 euros cheaper than the Zone Wireless 2. Does Logitech offer an affordable and worthy alternative with this successor, or are we better off with the more expensive variant? We dive ‘into the zone’ with both headsets.
Family resemblance
In terms of physical features, we immediately see that both headsets are related. We were already fans of the minimalist design of the Zone Wireless 2, so we are pleased that Logitech has carried that design over to the Zone Wireless 2 ES for Business. The stylish dark gray remains, although we now also have the choice of white and pink.

To operate the headset, we have to adjust our habits and feel around again. Logitech has subtly shifted the control buttons. For instance, the mute button we found on the microphone boom of the Zone Wireless 2 has now disappeared. The touch controls on the ear cup without the mic boom are also gone. However, Logitech has added clear volume buttons, and the Teams and call buttons have been split into two separate buttons.
Suspended headband
Another thing we notice about the design is the headband. The Zone Wireless 2 ES features an additional head support. The headset strap hangs from the bottom of the headband and ensures that the weight is evenly distributed for a comfortable feel.
This way, the headset band rests gently on your head and doesn’t create a heavy sensation. Logitech took inspiration from typical gaming headsets and gave it a professional twist. The Zone Wireless 2 does not have an extra headband. It does have a soft cushion on the inside, but that doesn’t provide the weightless effect.
Focused work
The Zone Wireless 2 ES for Business is designed for focused work. The adaptive noise cancellation plays its part in this. Adaptive here means that the ANC intelligently adjusts based on your environment and reduces distracting sounds or noise.
To put that to the test, we subjected the headset to an audio test to evaluate both the noise cancellation and the microphone. In the audio clips below, we compare the Logitech Zone Wireless 2 with the Logitech Zone Wireless 2 ES. The Zone Wireless 2 has four microphones, while the business variant has to make do with half that number. Overall, we don’t notice any major differences between the two headsets.

Logitech Zone Wireless 2 ES for Business
The critical listener will notice that with the Logitech Zone Wireless 2 ES for Business, the radio occasionally bleeds through while speaking. We don’t find this annoying ourselves, even as the wearer of the headset (highest ANC setting). Furthermore, you can tune your headset to your liking in the LogiTune app.
Bluetooth connection
The Zone Wireless 2 ES for Business connects easily to your laptop and Microsoft Teams. Our test device is Bluetooth-based and works without a dongle. The quality of the connection is therefore Bluetooth-dependent, although we experienced no issues with it during the testing period. According to Logitech, the Bluetooth connection reaches up to 50 meters, and our test confirms this. You can easily walk around during a call without the connection weakening.

Additionally, both headsets feature Multipoint Bluetooth, allowing you to connect to multiple devices simultaneously via Bluetooth. This can be useful in the office for connecting to both your laptop and smartphone.
No (battery) worries
Are you starting a workday full of online meetings and forgot your charger? Armed with the Logitech Zone Wireless 2 ES on your head, that shouldn’t be a problem. The battery of this business model even performs better than its (more expensive) predecessor.
The battery of the Zone Wireless 2 ES lasts up to 20 hours (ANC on), and even up to 25 hours when ANC is turned off. This is an improvement compared to the Zone Wireless 2, which lasts up to 15 hours with ANC enabled and 18 hours with ANC disabled.
A full charge takes two hours and can be done with the included USB-C cable. Just five minutes of charging gives you another hour of use. Furthermore, the battery can be replaced, as can two other parts: the ear cushions and the headband.
Business all-rounder
The Zone Wireless 2 ES for Business is an excellent professional headset. It is more comfortable and the battery lasts a very long time. Your bubble is just a little more sealed off with the Zone Wireless 2, though average users will hardly notice the difference. In our experience, the Zone Wireless 2 ES offers a worthy and affordable alternative to the Zone Wireless 2. You pay 150 euros less for a great professional headset.
