The Jabra Evolve3 75 combines wearing comfort with excellent battery life and call quality, although the headset has a few stubborn quirks.
Whether you’re in the office, at home, or on the train, a good headset undeniably improves a virtual meeting. Headsets come in all shapes, sizes, and price ranges, but few models excel both during and after working hours. Often, the audio experience comes at the expense of business use, or vice versa.
The Jabra Evolve3 75 is supposed to excel in all usage scenarios. The headset is comfortable to wear and offers high audio quality for both incoming and outgoing sound. However, our testing period was not without its issues.
Wireless comfort
The Jabra Evolve3 75 is a wireless on-ear headset, unlike its sister model the Evolve3 85, although the ear cups cover almost your entire ears. Weighing just 180 grams, it sits comfortably on your head. The headset can be folded, and the included case makes it easy to take with you anywhere.
To connect the headset to your laptop, you need to use the included USB dongle, available with a USB-A or USB-C connection, allowing you to connect to any laptop. There are several control buttons on both ear cups, which are within easy reach but could have been a bit larger.
The headset is Teams-certified (there is also a Zoom version), allowing you to answer Teams calls with a shortcut button. A purple LED light shows that the headset is connected, while a red light lets your colleagues know you’re in a call.

Clear voice quality
Although the Jabra Evolve3 75 primarily focuses on business use, namely video conferencing, you might also use a headset to listen to music while working or commuting. The headset supports LC3 audio via Bluetooth, which sounds very pleasant.
If you want to feel deep bass lines to your core, you won’t be entirely satisfied. For a business headset, the musical experience is more than positive. It goes without saying that you will also be able to hear conversations during video meetings clearly.
Where the headset excels is voice quality. This is quite impressive, given that there is no boom microphone. Admit it, those things often just get in the way. Jabra relies on a 6-microphone array enhanced with AI technology—because no headset is complete without AI—to pick up your voice perfectly. Your conversation partners won’t notice that you don’t have a microphone right next to your mouth.
Inconsistent ANC
A headset can also help you concentrate in busy environments. Good noise cancellation can help with that. The Jabra Evolve3 75 uses dynamic noise cancellation by default, which adapts to your environment. This produces inconsistent results.
The headset can filter out most background noise, but sounds like typing on a keyboard often still get through. This isn’t distracting, but you don’t feel like you’re in a bubble. This is partly due to the physical limitations of on-ear headsets. On the other hand, the noise cancellation works flawlessly for the microphone.
In the audio clips below, we first record a short message without background noise, and then with the radio at a fairly high volume. You won’t hear any difference between the two clips.
Long battery life
The advantage of a wireless headset is that you can move freely; the disadvantage is that the battery can run out. You’d have to be unlucky for this headset’s battery to die at exactly the wrong moment. On a full charge, you can make calls for up to 22 hours or play music for 110 hours, without ANC.
Assuming you don’t wear a headset all day, you could get through a work week without needing to recharge. If you do notice your battery is empty just minutes before an important call, it recharges quickly. Five minutes of charging gives you up to five hours of battery life. Wireless charging (Qi2) is also supported.
Stubborn quirks
The Jabra Evolve3 75 is on its way to a good report card. All of the above applies when the headset works as it should. Unfortunately, gremlins struck a few times during our testing period. With the first test model, we had some issues connecting to Teams; for the second test model, the connection was established smoothly, but the microphone was initially not recognized.
With some firmware updates (easy to install via the Jabra Direct app) and some digging into Teams and Windows, these problems were eventually resolved. We largely attribute these issues to the fact that we often receive test models that are not for sale. We are confident that you won’t experience these glitches if you purchase this headset (at a price of €399 excl. VAT, we can only hope so), but we experienced just a bit too much frustration not to mention it.
Speaking is gold
For that reason, we’re holding back the ‘Editor’s Choice’ label, but that doesn’t change the fact that this headset meets everything a business headset should. The lightweight and foldable design make portability a major plus. The headset also doesn’t disappoint in the most important aspect: audio quality.
The microphone especially deserves an award, as does the battery. The ANC is a minor drawback that doesn’t hinder the overall user experience too much. If our test model hadn’t had those teething problems, this review could have been a total success.
