Samsung expands the Galaxy A-series with three new 5G smartphones: the Galaxy A56, A36 and A26.

For the first time, these devices get AI-supported features, improved cameras, and longer software support.

AI features and improved cameras

The new Galaxy A-series introduces ‘Awesome Intelligence’, a collection of AI tools in One UI 7. This allows users to use Google’s Circle to Search, which easily recognizes numbers, email addresses, and URLs on the screen. A new music integration lets users identify songs without opening a separate app.

The cameras have been further improved. All three models have a 50 MP main camera, while the Galaxy A56 gets an additional 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The A56 and A36 also offer 10-bit HDR on the front camera. The Best Face feature on the Galaxy A56 allows users to select and combine the best face of multiple people in a group photo. Additionally, the device supports Low Noise Mode for better photos in low light. All three models get an improved Object Eraser, which can remove unwanted elements from photos.

Longer support and more robust design

Samsung promises six generations of Android and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates. This significantly extends the lifespan of the devices.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 and A36 have a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with brightness up to 1,200 nits. This makes them more readable in bright light. All models get a 5,000 mAh battery, while the A56 and A36 support 45W fast charging. The Galaxy A56 runs on the Exynos 1580 chipset, while the A36 is equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.
