Oppo introduces two models in its latest Reno14 Series with a focus on AI and mermaids.
Oppo launches the new Reno14 Series, consisting of the Reno14 5G and Reno14 (F(S) 5G. The brand introduces these new models as ‘AI phones’ in a design inspired by mermaids. The smartphones include Oppo’s AI Flash Photography, IP69 water and dust resistance, and Android 15. According to the company, the models are suitable for everyday use.
The Reno14 Series is now available in Belgium. The Reno14 Opal White and Reno14 F(S) Opal Blue are exclusively available in Oppo’s e-store. The devices are also available in Luminous Green. The Reno14 5G is available from €599 including VAT, the Reno14 FS 5G from €399 including VAT.
AI Image Processing
With the Reno14 5G and Reno14 F(S) 5G, Oppo introduces an improved flash system called AI Flash Photography. The devices feature multiple flash units, including a focus flash for the telephoto camera on the Reno14 5G. The latter also offers a 50 MP 3.5x telephoto camera for portrait and zoom shots. The new flash technology aims to deliver brighter images in low light while maintaining natural skin tones.
Oppo also focuses on AI-powered image processing through software. AI Livephoto 2.0 combines short and long exposures in real-time. Additionally, there are AI tools such as AI Editor, AI Recompose, AI Perfect Shot, and existing features like AI Eraser and AI Clarity Enhancer. Videos are captured in 4K HDR quality, supported by AI-optimized color and exposure settings.
Durable Design
The devices receive IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance. They feature a glass back and an aluminum frame. The USB port has a platinum coating to prevent corrosion.
With ColorOS 15, Oppo adds AI functions for productivity, including AI Mind Space to collect and store information from apps. The AI Call Translator enables live phone conversations between different languages. There’s also a translation app for real-time camera translation and spoken interactions.
The devices are powered by the Trinity Engine and feature cooling technology with AI Nano Dual-Drive in the Reno14 5G. The 6,000 mAh battery supports SUPERVOOC fast charging.
Both models run on Android 15 and will receive five OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
