Motorola launches three new moto g smartphones: battery life, durability, and ai

The new Motorola moto g86 power 5G, moto g86 5G, and moto g56 5G have been officially announced. Each device emphasizes battery capacity, durability, and AI-driven camera features.

Motorola introduces three new smartphones in the moto g series: the moto g86 power 5G, moto g86 5G, and moto g56 5G. The devices focus on battery life, robust build quality, and AI-driven camera features. The moto g86 power 5G stands out with a 6,720 mAh battery, the largest ever in a Motorola smartphone. For business users, there’s a Business Edition of the g56, with extensive management capabilities and extra security.

Large batteries

With the moto g86 power 5G, Motorola brings its smartphone with the largest battery capacity to date to the market: 6,720 mAh, good for up to 53 hours of use. The other devices, the moto g86 5G and the moto g56 5G, also have a robust 5,200 mAh battery that lasts up to 41 hours. All models support TurboPower charging with a maximum of 30W.

According to the brand, the devices are resistant to dust, sand, and high-pressure water. They meet military durability tests (MIL-STD-810H) and have IP68 and IP69 certification. Motorola also equips the devices with scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass and a soft finish. Each device is available in multiple Pantone colors.

AI features and cameras

The moto g86 power 5G and moto g86 5G use moto ai and Sony “’s LYTIA 600 sensor for their 50 MP main camera” s. These camera “s should enable better photo” s in low light, supported by optical image stabilization and AI enhancement. Both devices also feature an ultra-wide lens, macro camera, and a 32 MP selfie camera.

The moto g56 5G features similar camera technology, with a 50 MP main camera and Quad Pixel technology for better performance in dark environments. The ultra-wide lens and 32 MP selfie camera are also present here.

Under the Hood

All devices are equipped with MediaTek processors: the moto g86 models use the Dimensity 7300, while the g56 runs on the Dimensity 7060. They offer up to 256 GB storage and a maximum of 8 GB RAM, expandable with RAM Boost. The screen of the g86 devices is a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 1220p and 120 Hz refresh rate. The g56 5G has a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD screen.

For business users, there’s also a Business Edition of the moto g56 5G. It comes with extra security, management software, a three-year warranty, and support for Zero Touch Management.

The moto g56 5G will be available in Belgium from late May for €249.99. The moto g86 power 5G follows in mid-July for €299.99. The moto g86 5G will appear in early August with a suggested retail price of €329.99. All models run on Android 15 and support Motorola’s new Smart Connect features for multi-device collaboration.
